Ben Lawers summit

This view is for botanists. The path from the summit towards Loch Tay leads to the rocky outcrops in the middle distance where the drooping saxifrage can be found. However the saxifrage is very small and even though I'd seen there on five or six occasions I still couldn't find it on the seventh. On this occasion the plants had bulbils which is quite usual but no flowers which I've seen on two occasions but never with my camera. The other interesting thing to note that the edges of the path even at a height of 3996 feet, are green. You can find Cerastium alpinum and Alchemilla alpina growing here almost up to the summit itself.
