Anchusa azurea Large Blue Alkanet
This plant isn't uncommon in the British Isles where it has escaped from gardens hence Stace's awful English name: Garden Alkanet. Although it's quite common in the Mediterranean the azure blue flowers brighten up the stony track sides. The garden variety escaping inot the countryside of the British Isles often has blue rather than white centre.
