This is a very common plant in Northern Cyprus but by the time we got there much of it was finished - April in the south Mediterranean is the equivalent of a hot high summer in the British Isles. However in the hills near the North Cyprus Herbarium they were still at their best.

In Gozo these plants were abundant on the rocky coastline and in March were at their very best. They are tall standing over 2 m sometimes. In the background is Euphorbia dendroides (Tree Spurge) which is equally abundant here in Gozo.
