We were all quite surprised even to see this plant in flower in Assynt but it wasn't the only one at the site. It is found in diverse places in the British Isles: North West Scotland and the New Forest are strongholds with some to be found on the Welsh border but elsewhere including Ireland it is just sparsely scattered.
