This plant occurs at about 3,000 feet and is a hybrid between the Alpine Mouse-ear (Cerastium alpinum) and Common Mouse-ear (Cerastium fontanum). It has a combination of characters and grows near C alpinum although there isn't any obvious C fontanum nearby. It is sterile so doesn't spread and my guess is that it should be classified as rarer than C alpinum which is Rare.
