Eleogiton fluitans Floating Club-rush C DD N
Imagine my excitement when we were called over to see this plant which had neither anything looking like the flower of a Club-rush nor the expected floating habit. Looks a bit like a clump of indeterminate grass doesn't it?
Better photo needed next year because Stace says this is quite a widespread plant. It can be found as much in the far north west of Scotland as it is in Cornwall. There is plenty of this spectacular species in all four countries.
