Hedgerow Crane's-bill is found on banks, verges and unsurprisingly, near hedgerows.  The flowers are a big enough to make this an attractive wayside plant which can be quite persistent. This one is weeded twice a year by the owner of the bank on which it grows but it springs up happily within a few weeks, flowering freely as usual.

Stace regards this plant as possibly native. It is common in England and Wales thinning out as you go North with very little in Northern Scotland. In Ireland it is mostly in the south east.
