Hypochaeris maculata   Spotted cat's-ear

RR

DD

N

The flower looks very much like common Cat's-ear but a little larger. The leaves with their dark spots are what makes it "maculata" and this can't be missed. They are also a different shape from H. radicata. Although the Great Orme is one of its famous habitats there aren't very many of these to be seen.

Great Orme, 5th June 2003 and 10th June 2004
