If you think I could identify a rare sub-species of a Rock Sea Lavender then you've credited me with much more botanical skill than I actually have. This was identified by Graeme Kay, County Recorder for Cheshire on a WFS meeting which a friend and I hosted on Anglesey. It was growing on the rocks above South Stack and had recently been determined by some clever bod. They all look the same to me and Stace says this one grows only in Cornwall.

This plant is perched on a cliff ledge just behind a 1 metre wall. I have to lean over the wall and stretch with the camera at arm's length to get any kind of photo at all. I'll get a better photo when I can work out how to put the camera nearer the subject.
