This was one of those sites which turned out to be very difficult to access. First it was in Southwick in South Dumfries and then we had to jump salt marsh gullies filled with water and make our way through 3 metre high reeds to the rock where it grows next to the sea. Unimpressive I thought - it is exactly the same colour as Red Campion. Should have photographed it in Edinburgh where the burghers have voted it their County Flower.
