Seeking a flower on this plant proved too difficult this year. I went to this site at the foot of Cairngorm on to successive occasions but progress towards flowering seemed to be slower than i had expected.

This plant is common in Scotland north of a line between Edinburgh and Glasgow but is found only in a few places elsewhere in the British Isles.
