Phlomis purpurea   No English name

Phlomis purpurea close Phlomis purpurea whole

This very pubescent shrub grows mainly on the Iberian peninsula and prefers the exact stony barren habitat where we found it. The pale pink/purple flowers are supposed to bloom from April to June so we were lucky to find one shrub with the very first flowers showing in March.
