Also known as White Mountain Saxifrage, Lifelong Saxifrage, Encrusted Saxifrage, Alpine Saxifrage and Silver Saxifrage this indicates the widespread occurrence os this species in europe, Asia and North America. It is one of the commoner Saxifrages to be seen in the mountains of Europe growing on rocks at heights of up to 8,000 feet.
