One of our commonest weeds, this plant nevertheless has a quite strict timetable for flowering. Having hunted for it during the WFS winter months hunt and again in early spring, it seems to be one which doesn't like to hang on throughout a mild winter. The distribution of this plant is so wide that it has been recorded throughout the Scottish highlands and islands including the Cairngorms, outer Hebrides and Shetland.
