The sole food plant of this butterfly is supposed to be Lonicera periclymenum (Honeysuckle) but many different species of butterfly will choose brambles to feed as adults. We had hoped to see a White Admiral in these woods but were surprised and delighted to count eight butterfly species which were fluttering around this one Breckland glade.
