In some computers the Norton firewall settings prevent the images from downloading although the text appears to be OK.
Typically there will be a red cross in box where the image should be. On the ukwildflowers.com home page there is also the name of the plant which should be there.
This isn't consistent because it doesn't happen with some computers which are also using Norton Internet Security.
The idea of this fix is to find the list of allowed Web Content which Norton uses to decide what to allow and to add the name of the site you wish to view.
- Open Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall.
- If you use Norton Internet Security/Norton Personal Firewall 2004, double-click Privacy Control, and then click Advanced.
- If you use Norton Internet Security/Norton Personal Firewall 2003, click Options > Internet Security or Personal Firewall, and then click the Web Content tab.
- Click Add Site. A new site/domain box appears.
- Enter www.ukwildflowers.com for the main site or europe.ukwildflowers.com for the European site and click OK. The site name appears in the left frame of the Options window.
- Now click the name of the new site (www.ukwildflowers.com or europe.ukwildflowers.com).
- Click the Global Settings tab.
- There should be a section called Information about visited sites section, clear Use default settings i.e. untick the little box
- Tick the little Permit box
- Click OK to close the Options window
- Try to load ukwildflowers.com or europe.ukwildflowers.com again. If it is already in your browser the click the Refresh button at the top.
