Cotoneaster bullatus   Hollyberry Cotoneaster I

Cotoneaster bullatus

Cotoneasters are a difficult genus to identify but this is made worse by the great similarity to C. rehderi. Although This one is the more frequent escape and has smaller leaves on average, it has been identified as Cotoneaster bullatus by BSBI experts.

It is found dotted all over England and Wales with smaller numbers in Scotland and little in Ireland. It's stronghold is the north west of England where this one was found.
