Helichrysum stoechas Shrubby Everlasting
This is a plant of dry stony places mostly found in the eastern Mediterranean. The narrow inrolled (revolute) leaves and felted appearance of the stem are typical. Many flowers of Helichrysum species look quite like this one - yellow and dry (everlasting) looking. The leaves are aromatic when crushed.
