Iris sari Endemic
The vegetation at this site was quite dense and looked the least likely place to find anything significant. But here and there were small clearings and in a couple of those places this delightful Iris species was growing. It still took some hunting down by the whole party because the flowers were so well camouflaged against the background.
This plant is actually a Turkish endemic and can be found dotted all over Turkey.
