Senecio elegans Purple Groundsel
This beautiful annual plant is an introduction from Cape Province in South Africa. It has also been introduced to the United States and New Zealand. Fortunately it isn't very invasive and seems to favour the very far south western corner of Western Asutralia, mostly by the caost and on disturbed soil.
It is also known as Wild Cineraria and Purple Ragwort.
