Andersonia simplex Spiked Andersonia Endemic
I was actually trying to photograph Actinodium cunninhamii oytheriwse known as Albany Daisy or Swamp Daisy because of its tendecy to prefer winter wet depressions. The spiked Andersonia was growing among the daisies. The officially description of the usual habitat of Adersonia simplex is sandy and gravelly soils but this was growing in swampier conditions.
It is found in ther southern coastal plain from around Albany and inland towards the Stirling Range but my plant was an outlier nearer the Fitzgerald River National Park.
