We found this as a low grey shrub in amongst many more spectacular Australian wild plants. There are over 30 plants in this endemic genus some of which have not yet been fully investigated so their species level taxonomic status is unknown. They are known as sand sedges and this particular plant grows mainly in the centre of the wheat belt.
