This is yet another Australian plant named after a botanist. Lewis Weston Dillwyn 1785 to 1824 was a famous anti slavery campaigner who eventually wrote The British Confervae illustrated by Hooker and others.

The genus is native to Australia and this species has heather like leaves and is often found on hills.
