Odontarrhena discolor Endemic
This uncommon, endemic Turkish species looks like a typical yellow flowered Alyssum species and Alyssum discolor is a synonym. As with many rarities it may be uncommon internationally, but it was quite easy to find at this site en route to our hotel near Mount Olympos.
It is found on serpentine soils in south west Türkiye and has the unusual property of being able to accumulate Nickel Ni(II) ions.
