Ornithogalum angustifolium   Star-of-Bethlehem C DD N?

Ornithogalum umbellatum ssp campestre whole Ornithogalum umbellatum ssp campestre close

This is a common garden plant and I was sure that it would be an Introduction but it is thought to be possibly native at least in the East of the country. The taxonomists have made things confusing changing the name from O. umbellatum to O. angustifolium.

O. unbellatum ssp campestre is common in England and Scotland towards the east but not in the far north. It is uncommon in mid Wales and rare in Ireland.
