Rubus loganobaccus

This was one of those plant photos which needed to be taken very quickly because other members of this London meeting of the Wild Flower Society were confident enough of their identification to eat the fruits.

This introduction (garden escape) is actually a hybrid between two different species of Rubus: Rubus idaeus (Raspberry) x Rubus vitifolus (Pacific Dewberry). It is found in patches in the British isles with the highest concentration around London and north west England.
