Wurmbea dioica ssp alba Early Nancy Endemic
This was a supposedly common species that I kept missing in my five trips to botanise in Australia. Imagine my delight when I found not one, but many plants of this genus growing in the almost non existent soil on Mount Chudalup's granite slopes. It is a member of the Colchicaceae family and is a cormous perennial.
Wurmbea dioica ssp alba is quite common with records starting around Geraldton and continuing down the Swan Coastal Plain to Margaret River, inland and along the south coast to Albany.
